The chocolate stars of "Cometa Asmme"
Trento, December 14th 2016
For the match on Friday December 16th, applicable to the fifteenth round of regular season between Diatec Trentino and Biosì Indexa Sora – the home commitment nearest to Christmas (PalaTrento, at 8.30 p.m.) - , inside the Sport hall there will be the stand of “Cometa Asmme” (Associazione Studio Malattie Metaboliche Ereditarie), where the traditional chocolate stars will be sold to the audience. This is a classic charity initiative related to the month of December. You will be able to buy this product offering at least nine euros for each; the collected funds will be used to finance research in diseases of this type (more than 400 inherited metabolic diseases are diagnosed and affect more than 20.000 people in Italia), to improve neonatal screening and help patients and their families, who need economic help to face therapies or new kind of medical examinations. The inherited metabolic diseases affect children generally in their first years of life; if not recognized, they can cause serious physical and mental handicaps and in some cases also early death. Therefore Trentino Volley and Cometa Asmme propose again this event also for Christmas 2016, hoping that PalaTrento’s audience will be, as in the past, champion in solidarity.
The Association Cometa Asmme is based on voluntary work and was born twenty four years ago to let know to everyone about this kind of diseases, that need considerable economic means for scientific support and research.
